Projects are groups of related tasks.

Create a Project

Create a project by clicking on the Projects link in the left menu pane.

Steps
  1. Click on the “Projects” menu link in the left pane.
  2. Click “Create Project”.
  3. Enter the name for the project.
  4. Enter an optional description in the Project Description field.
  5. Select a default source for the project.  All tasks created for the project will default to the default source, but it can be overridden at the task level.
  6. Enter the default Save To Folder. You have the option to manually enter the path or use the browse button to open the file explorer to select the location. All tasks created for the project will output to the selected default folder, but it can be overridden at the task level.
  7. Click “Save” to create the project.

Note that the number of projects you are able to create may be limited on your plan version.

Editing a Project
Steps
  1. Click on the “Projects” menu link in the left pane.
  2. Click on the project you would like to change by clicking on the project name link.
  3. Click on the “Edit” button.
  4. Make the changes required.
  5. Click “Save” to update the project.
Cloning a Project

Most API services have many collection or end points that allow you to connect to various data sets.  Cloning will allow you to easily create a new source without having to re-enter all the account info.  After cloning the source, you can change the collection or end point to define the new data set collection.

Steps
  1. Click on the “Projects” menu link in the left pane.
  2. Click on the project you would like to clone by clicking on the project name link.
  3. Click on the “Clone” button. A new copy of the project will be created in the project list.  The name of the new project will be prefixed with the words “Clone of”.  All tasks that exist in the original project will also be created in the new project.
  4. Click “Edit” to change the name of the new project and make any other changes for your collection.
  5. Click “Save” to update the project.
Create a Task from a Project

A task is a connection to a source (which you defined in your sources) that output to a file. You can create tasks directly from a project.

Steps
  1. Click on the “Projects” menu link in the left pane.
  2. Click on the project link where you would like to creat the task.
  3. Click on the “Add Task” button.  Enter the info to set-up the task.  Learn More about creating Tasks.
  4. When the task is saved, it will be added to the task list within the project.
Deleting a Project
Steps
  1. Click on the “Projects” menu link in the left pane.
  2. Click on the project you would like to delete by clicking on the project name link.
  3. Click “Delete” to remove the Source. Important note: All tasks with the project will also be deleted.
