Define the API Source

The API Source is how you connect to your Services data and where you store the locations of your data, and their respective credentials, if applicable. A source defines a connection to a service that you can integrate into a task. A complete detailed listing on how to configure the Sources by each API service can be found in the help under the Services Configuration menu.

Define the API Source

Create a Source by clicking on the Sources link in the left menu pane.

  1. Click on the “Sources” menu link in the left pane.
  2.  Click the add “+” icon.
  3. Enter the name for the Source.
  4. Select the service connector.
  5. You will then be presented with options to connect to the service based on the connector you chose in step 3. Most service connectors have options like account number or name, API keys and authentication credentials.
  6. If needed, go to your online service account and get the API keys and any other info required to connect to the service API.
  7. Enter the API required keys and other credentials.
  8. Click “Save” to create the source.

Note that the number of Sources you are able to create may be limited on your plan version.
